Midway through August, I will be in Oregon for a wedding. The wedding is far from Portland, but that will be our point of entry and exit. Since the west coast is hip to the gluten-free trend (and we have a red-eye flight home) I thought my boyfriend and I could go on GF culinary adventure in Portland. I’m interested in what people think is the hot place? I mean the restaurant or food truck turning out the top of the line, never seen before, gluten-free experience! Yes, that is a tall order to fill, but as time goes on and people are more aware of the allergy, the creativity with the food seems to be exploding. Just from the cooking and baking I have attempted, I feel confident that there are amazing recipes out hiding in back streets and down alleys, which can give the wheatless wanderer their favorite foods back. So please let me know where we should try, what food trucks, restaurants and pubs are to die for, so I can tell the world. Gluten-free needs to be spread far and wide and I’m a wheatless wanderer that’s willing to go there!
